This episode for a new program on The Travel Channel was about neon signage, of which Tucson has quite a bit. Shot in Tucson and Phoenix the show included a contest in which professionals had 72 hours to design and build custom neon signs based on the “EAT HERE” theme from the 50’s which were then judged to pick a winner.
ITV sent a full field production team and their equipment, along with the show host, to Arizona. They brought 3 main broadcast cameras, tripods, shoulder mounts, GoPros, LED lighting, a jib boom, and communications for the crew and live video and audio monitoring equipment for the Producer and Director.
Key Productions joined that team in both Tucson and Phoenix to operate the jib boom camera and their “B” camera on set and our pilot and drone for aerial video as well as use our motion stabilized OSMO camera to provide specialized footage for the show. We can not tell you who was on the program or who won the competition and can only show a limited amount of video and some sync audio until the episode airs. Come back then to see the rest of the story.
